• I am a sophomore at UNL majoring in accounting.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

Outside of work I enjoy working with my hands. After work at home I enjoy working on cars. Someday I would like to fully restore a car on my own. I also enjoying hunting at home.

What is your background?

I grew up on a small family farm north of Atkinson, Nebraska. My parents have a cow/calf operation as well as corn and soybeans. I remember working on the farm since the day I could walk. I have since moved to Lincoln for college. I have a full academic scholarship and my goal is to keep that all throughout college.

In auditing, the concept of materiality is, simply, setting a threshold that anything under that threshold won’t materially misstate your financial statements.
