In February 2011, CNN Money named iDonatedIt, a mobile app created by Lincoln CPA firm BMG Certified Public Accountants, LLP as one of its seven best apps for filing taxes.
iDonatedIt is a mobile app that helps taxpayers document, value, and report their non-cash charitable donations for income tax purposes. BMG created and released iDonatedIt for the iPhone in November of 2009. During 2010 BMG worked with local developer, Information Analytics and created iDonatedIt for the Droid. And most recently, BMG has released a version of iDonatedIt for the iPad.
“Our years of professional experience as CPAs led us to recognize that there was a need for an app like iDonatedIt. Valuing and tracking non-cash donations can be tricky for many taxpayers. iDonatedIt takes the guess work out of the equation and helps users easily manage their donations from their mobile device,” said Todd Blome, one of the partners of BMG. “To have our app recognized as one of the top tax apps alongside apps like Intuit’s TurboTax and the IRS’s IRS2Go app is quite an honor and we couldn’t be more thrilled about it” says Blome.
